Modern Eon - ‘Mechanic’

I love the ones that actually have the sound of waves! Cold. Waves. I think this is the first post to feature a UK band, Modern Eon were from Liverpool at the same time as Echo And The Bunnymen and certainly without Ian McCulloch’s vocal histrionics.

 Didn’t Ian once say that The Killing Moon was ‘the best song ever, sung by the greatest singer ever’? The vocal here is a case in point for not feeling like that about yourself. I love how soft and quiet it is. Maybe if this guy had shouted louder he’d have gotten to write a World Cup song with the Spice Girls.
